Julie Mills

Managing Director, APSCo Australia

Julie Mills is the Managing Director of APSCo Australia. Before that, she was CEO of the Information Technology Contract and Recruitment Association (ITCRA). She was instrumental in the association’s merger and subsequent launch of APSCo Australia in 2016. Julie joined ITCRA in 2010, having previously served as CEO of the Recruitment & Consulting Services Association (RCSA) for over 10 years. In 2010, Mills was awarded an Honorary Life Membership for her services to the RCSA and the recruitment industry. Julie has been previously recognised in Staffing Industry Analysts Top 100 Global Women in Recruitment, as well as in the Who's Who of Australian Women for more than a decade. Julie was nominated in the Telstra Business Woman of the Year Awards during her time at RCSA and is often referenced by her peers as a leader who delivers on the promise of workplace flexibility and innovative engagement solutions.

Start the day with a peer discussion on some of the unique challenges and opportunities often faced by women in recruitment: closing the confidence gap, navigating difficult work/life balance choices, imposter syndrome, and more. Leah McKelvey, VP of Global Enterprise Strategy & Operations, will kick off the session with a Q&A with Abbie Morris, Director of Organisational Development at Allegis Group, about some of the experiences and initiatives from the Allegis team across APAC, and how they’ve focused on enabling their current and future leaders. After this short introduction, industry leaders will lead a discussion at each table before asking one person from each group to share the lessons back with the entire team.
